Rumus : (+) S+be+Ving

                (-) S+be+not+Ving

                (?) be+S+Ving

Be dirubah menjadi ( is, are, am,, was, were )

Simple future tense (digunakan untuk mengekpresikan kejadian yang belum terjadi/ masih direncanakan)

Rumus :  (+) S+will+V1

                  (-) S+will+not+V1

                  (?) Will+S+V1

Contoh: they will go to campus by bus



Present perfect tense ( digunakan untuk menyatakan kejadian yang telah terjadi )

Rumus: (+) S+has/have+V3

                (-) S+ has/have+not+V3

                (?)has/have +S+V3

  1. She (drink) coffe (simple past)
    (+)    She drank coffe
    (-)     she did not drink coffe
    (?)    did she drink coffe ? yes, she did or no, she didn’t
  2. They (start) the course (present perpect)
    (+)    She has drunk coffe
    (-)     she has not drunk coffe
    (?)    has she drunk coffe ? yes, she has or no, she hasn’t.
  3. Ana and Linda (open) the account (past cont)
    (+)    Ana and Linda opened the account
    (-)     Ana and Linda did not open the account
    (?)    did Ana and Linda open the account ? yes, they did or no, they didn’t
  4. The bank (close) at 5 p.m (simple present)
    (+)    The bank closes at 5 p.m
    (-)     the bank doesn’t close at 5 p.m
    (?)    does the bank close at 5 p.m ? yes, it does or no, it doesn’t.
  5. The dog (run) through the park (simple past)
    (+)    The dog runs through the park
    (-)     The dog doesn’t run through the park
    (?)    does the dog run through the park ? yes, it does or no, it doesn’t.
